We transformed a former pottery studio, originally designed by Architect Anupama Kundoo, which had fallen into disrepair. Pooling resources, we repaired and adapted the building: new work tables and a central discussion table became the heart of the studio; an adjoining domed space provided a quiet work zone; shelves and storage were added to house our models, materials, and books.

The setting is inseparable from the work: with forest views on all sides, the studio reinforces our belief that architecture does not compete with nature but exists alongside it. A terracotta filler-slab ceiling crowns the main office, tying materiality back to our ethos. Today, Bayhauz has grown into a team of ten dedicated members working from our Auroville studio.
